Overview of the BTEC-HND in Hospitality Management:

This Program is designed for those who wish to gain an in-depth understanding of the culinary function of a hospitality organization whilst still focusing on the remaining functions of the hospitality sector.

COURSE STRUCTURED:
  • The program is broadly divided into two parts; i.e. – 2 years in India followed by a top-up year (optional, if the student wants to advance to the Degree level) with a reputed University abroad.
  • IISD EDU WORLD is still in the process of tying up with different Universities abroad.
  • In the first two years spent at IISD EDU WORLD, the student will learn all the aspects of the hospitality industry and special focus will be given to culinary arts throughout the two years.
  • The course content and program is designed to ensure that the student will by the end of the two year complete a ‘Higher National Diploma in Hospitality Management’ qualification.
  • This course is accredited by Edexcel UK for the BTEC-HND in Hospitality Management.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
  • 12th Pass with 60% avg. percentage or higher.
  • Entrance test score 50% and above (to be conducted at IISD EDU WORLD).
  • This test will cover General Knowledge, English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning.
ADMISSION PROCESS:
  • Fill out an enquiry form with personal and educational details
  • Attend a presentation on the program upon being called by the admission counselor
  • Appear for an entrance test and personal interview at the institute on a stipulated date.
  • On securing the minimum required marks (50%) in the entrance exam/interview, you will then be offered a seat in the program subject to submission of a security amount (Rs.10,000) which is refundable only once the student successfully completes the program.
FEE STRUCTURE:
  • Rs. 1,25,000/- per year for one-time payments + taxes as applicable.
  • Rs. 45,000/- per installment X 3 easy installments per year + taxes as applicable.
  • Payments to be made in draft only in favor of IISD Edu World.
DURATION:
  • 2 Year Diploma in Hospitality Management.

Weekend Hobby Classes with Chef

These sessions would be open to all amateur chefs who are interested in enhancing their existing culinary skills or even learn new ones. These sessions may also be used as corporate team building workshops or just for having some wholesome fun yet learning experience.

SAMPLE SESSION TITLES:
  • Exotic Regional and International Dishes; Fusion Food; Continental Food; Cajun Kitchen; Boundless Bread Baking; Holiday Specials; and some sessions on demand by regulars or first timers.
DURATION:
  • 4 hours on Saturdays.
FEES:
  • 950/- per weekend session and taxes as applicable.
Note: Minimum 5 students and maximum 10 students are allowed per session

Advanced Certificate Program in Bakery & Patisserie

This program is open for both budding and amateur chefs as well as professional ones who wish to enhance their professional skills in a new area. The program is designed in a way that opens up opportunities for the learners to be employed in standalone bakeries or those attached to restaurants, hotels, flight kitchens, cruise liners, etc. And also for learners who wish to be self-employed and start bakeries of their own.

SAMPLE SESSION TITLES:
DURATION:
  • 150 hours over a period of 5 months and 1 month of internship (optional).
  • 40 hours over a period of 3 months.
    Note: Batch strength would be minimum 5 students and maximum 10 students.
FEES:
  • 35,000/- + taxes as applicable
    Note: Batch strength would be minimum 5 students and maximum 10 students.
  • 12,000/- + taxes as applicable
    Note: Batch strength would be minimum 10 students and maximum 15 students.

  • Advanced Bakery & Patisserie Program.
THREE MONTH ADVANCED COOKERY CLASSES FOR THE SERIOUS FOOD ENTHUSIAST:
  • The program is open to both budding and amateur chefs as well as well as professional ones who wish to learn about different world cuisines, their evolution through various cultural influences and eventually be able to put together diverse meals worthy of food connoisseurs.
Note: Batch strength would be minimum 5 students and maximum 10 students.

Placements & Internship Training

On Merit Basis.
Eligible students will be placed in Hotels, Restaurants, Food Courts and Canteens.
